Really can you see me? I believe this is the question on everyone’s mind, is there really anyone who sees me, the easiest way to connect with people is to see them, I mean really see them. I am constantly meeting new people by the virtue of my work, meeting people from all walks of life the very wealthy, the poor of the poor, the affluent, the reclusive, the effusive, the proud, mild mannered, every kind of good or bad person and the unifying quest of every man inclusive of the blogger is to be really seen, seen yes I did not mean looked at. Everyone looks but few really see. Please do not get bored yet I am trying to get to something you can relate with.

When we truly see people, we look beyond their titles, trophies or lack there of or accolade we meet the person, we see their need, their desire, we even acknowledge that they are there and that they are giving their best even if it does not mean much to anyone else. This is what seeing someone means to look beyond the obvious, at their reclusive behavior and see their need for a good friend and be one. To see the cleaner, know their name, maybe even their children’s name and ask about them. When we see someone we acknowledge their existence, we also make them see that their struggles are valid and matter at least to them.

I have a great reputation of being loved by every child I meet (okay most not all) and the trick is to always see them, see their need for love and connection and even boundaries. Leaders will double their influence if they slow down and see their followers just like the late musician sound sultan said “you no sit in my position you fit pity my condition” good leaders though can not sit in everyone’s position but they should imagine what being in that position will mean. Seeing people is the greatest marketing and sales hack, may be the healing your relationship with your children or spouse needs.
